Alpyne Labs background

Our Story

Founded in 2018, Alpyne Labs is a healthcare venture studio with a mission to build technologies that help people live healthier, happier lives. We bring together technologists, clinicians, and operators to design tools that make a real-world impact—whether that's saving lives or simply improving the quality of one.

Our first product addressed trichotillomania with a discreet wearable wristband that used motion sensors and edge-deployed machine learning to help patients break harmful habits. Clinicians across the U.S. used it to support behavior change and healing.

Since then, we've explored a wide range of ideas across the healthcare landscape—from nutrition and mental health to sports performance and healthcare system automation. Some were small experiments, others grew into real products. Our latest, Juno, is an AI-powered assistant that supports behavioral health providers by automating documentation, scheduling, and insurance workflows—giving them more peace of mind and time to focus on care.

As a venture studio, we don't just build—we validate. We test bold ideas quickly, learn from the real world, and pursue the ones with lasting potential to improve lives.

Our leadership blends deep healthcare expertise with proven technical execution. Justin Ith has spent over a decade building ML-driven products in the healthcare space, and Michelle Arendas brings 20+ years of experience in medical billing and operations, having led implementations from major health systems to local providers.

We believe the future of healthcare will be shaped by those willing to experiment with empathy—and build with purpose.
